El martes en la noche (Agosto 25) durante la rueda de prensa de Donald Trump en Dubuque, Iowa., el reconocido reportero Jorge Ramos fue escoltado después de haber preguntado sobre el tema de inmigración.
“Disculpe, siéntese… no lo he llamado,” dijo Trump mientras Ramos preguntaba sobre el plan de inmigración de Trump. “…Devuélvase a Univisión.”
De acuerdo con Ramos, Univisión había tratado de contactarlo anteriormente para una entrevista y hablar de temas relacionados con inmigración como deportar a 11,000 inmigrantes ilegales, negar la ciudadanía de niños nacidos en Estados Unidos y construir un muro en la frontera de México y Estados Unidos. Sin embargo, el candidato republicano no quiso responder.
Ramos regreso en la mitad del programa en el cual pudo obtener respuestas a sus preguntas.
“Otros reporteros presionaron a Trump para que regresara,” dijo Ramos en una entrevista a Univisión. “(Donald Trump) no quiso ser especifico en mis preguntas. Sin embargo como reportero, es mi labor hacer preguntas y fue exactamente lo que hice.”
Ramos habló el miércoles (Agosto 26) en diferentes canales de noticias sobre su reacción a la situación y dijo que nunca en su vida había sido expulsado de una entrevista o una rueda de prensa.
Así mismo, expreso su preocupación por la gente que no tiene una voz en las elecciones refiriéndose a todos los inmigrantes que no tienen derecho a votar.
“Entonces uno se preguntaría si eso lo hace conmigo que soy ciudadano norteamericano y periodista, dijo Ramos. “Que podría ocurrir con un inmigrante en Estados Unidos que no ha tenido la suerte que yo he tenido.”
Por otro lado, según Trump, reportes de noticias dicen que el ‘manejo bien’ la situación y que Ramos estuvo ‘fuera de línea.’
“Le voy a decir, el estuvo totalmente fuera de lugar anoche… se puso de pie y empezó a difamar furioso,” dijo Trump el miércoles en el show de la mañana de NBC: Today Show.

Ramos booted from Trump press conference

On Tuesday night (Aug. 25) during Donald Trump’s press conference in Dubuque, Iowa, Univision anchor and known reporter Jorge Ramos was escorted out after bringing up the topic of immigration.
“Excuse me, sit down … you haven’t been called” said Trump while Ramos asked about Trump’s immigration plan. “… Go back to Univision.”
According to Ramos, Univision had tried to contact him for an interview to talk about topics related to immigration such as deporting 11,000 illegal immigrants, denying citizenship to children born in the US, and building a wall between Mexico and the United States but the republican candidate did not want to reply.
Ramos returned toward the middle of the program and, in a back and forth with the candidate was able to get answers to his questions.
“Other reporters pressure Trump so I could come in,” said Ramos in an interview to Univision. “He didn’t want to be specific with my questions, however, as a reporter my job is to ask questions and that’s exactly what I did.”
Ramos expressed to different news outlets on Wednesday (Aug. 26) his reaction to the situation and said he had never been ejected from an interview or a press conference in his life.
He also mentioned his concerned about people who don’t have voice in the elections, referring to immigrants who don’t have the right to vote.
“ So, you ask yourself if he does that to me, a US citizen and reporter,” said Ramos. “What could happen to an immigrant in the United States who hasn’t had the luck that I’ve had.”
On the other hand, according to Trump, news reports said he ‘handled well’ the situation and Ramos was ‘out of line.’
“I will tell you, he was totally out of line last night … He stood up and started ranting and raving like a madman,” Trump said Wednesday morning on NBC’s Today Show.
