México está dispuesto a negociar con Estados Unidos sobre el TLCAN, mencionó recientemente el secretario mexicano de Relaciones Exteriores, Luis Videgaray, durante su visita a España.
Videgaray indico que uno de los puntos principales en las negociaciones sería el respeto del libre comercio entre México, Estados Unidos y Canadá. México también quiere que la situación de los trabajadores mexicanos sea atendida durante el proceso de negociación.
“El TLCAN tiene que … tener beneficios para los trabajadores mexicanos,” Esto tiene que verse reflejado … en sus salarios e inversiones “, indicó Videgaray citando al periódico Milenio.
Videgaray también dijo que México está listo para abordar las negociaciones con sentimientos de calma, confianza y paciencia.

Videgaray también declaró que no está de acuerdo con la construcción de un muro que divida a los dos países. Por el contrario, está de acuerdo con la creación de puentes para unir a las naciones.
“Construir un muro no es algo que queramos discutir como parte de nuestra negociaciones”, dijo. “México no negociará el muro”.
Al cierre de esta edición, el gobierno de los Estados Unidos no había respondido a las declaraciones de Videgaray ni había proporcionado una fecha para las negociaciones.

Mexico is ready to negotiate with the United States over NAFTA, Mexican Foreign Relations Minister Luis Videgaray stated recently while visiting Spain.
Videgaray said that one of the main points in the negotiations would be the respect of free trade among Mexico, the United States and Canada. Mexico also wants the situation of Mexican workers addressed during the negotiation process.

Videgaray also said Mexico is ready to approach the negotiations with feelings of calm, trust and patience.

Videgaray also stated he doesn’t agree with building a wall that divides the two countries. On the contrary, he agrees with creating bridges to unite nations.
“Building a wall is not something we want to discuss as part of our relations,” he said. “Mexico won’t negotiate the wall.”
At press time, the U.S. government hadn’t responded to Videgaray’s statements or provided a date for negotiations.
