Wonderful World: Discover Amsterdam

In this edition, we will talk about Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the capital of a neighboring European country of Germany and Belgium, and which its name is often confused by people who do not live in it. House of Anne Frank, a site in which this little Jewish girl lived and wrote her diary, who along with her family and other 4 people hid in her father’s store during the Nazi occupation in the country. In her sad story, you are able to perceive the feelings of so many Jew families who had to hide in order to not to be exterminated by the Hitler regime. The admission fee is $11 for adults and children under 10 years free admission.
In the Museum of Erotic Art, you can learn about the relationship between eroticism and the Red Light District. You can enjoy 3 floors full of erotic art. It is not to go with children under 18 since there is enough amount of pornography. The entrance price is $ 6.
You should enjoy the Amsterdam canals from a boat. The view and landscapes that you can discover on the way are worthy of paintings and paintings, so a photograph should not miss you.

Bienvenidos turistas, en esta edición nos toca hablar de la capital de un país europeo vecino de Alemania y Bélgica, que además su nombre suele ser confundido por las personas que no habitan en él, nos referimos a Ámsterdam, Países Bajos. Su fundación data de 1275, cuenta con menos de 1 millón de habitantes, mientras que su zona metropolitana tiene cerca de 1 millón y medio de habitantes.
Su centro histórico fue construido principalmente en el siglo XVII y es uno de los más grandes de Europa. Debido a la gran cantidad de agua que se tiene en esta ciudad es conocida como la Venecia del Norte, se construyeron una serie de canales semicirculares para poder drenar y controlar el flujo excesivo de agua que se tiene dentro de la ciudad. La prostitución es completamente legal en esta ciudad, teniendo así servicios de seguro social para las prostitutas, cabe mencionar que sólo es legal en una zona de la ciudad llamada barrio rojo. Otra cosa para hacer una distinción de muchos otros sitios en el mundo es que aquí es completamente legal el matrimonio gay y la adopción de niños por parejas del mismo sexo.

Arenque crudo, es un pescado que se sirve con pepinillos y cebolla y como su nombre lo dice se sirve sin recibir ninguna clase de cocción. La comida en esta ciudad es algo elevada, con un costo promedio de $35 por una comida completa. Por lo que te recomiendo si vas con bajo presupuesto busques comida preparada en supermercados, podrás comer pagando desde $12 hasta $17.

Plaza Dam, es el centro y corazón de la ciudad, aunque no es la plaza más bonita de la ciudad si es un sitio con mucha historia, aquí se recibió a Napoleón y a sus tropas durante la toma de posesión de la ciudad. Fue creada en el siglo XIII junto con una presa alrededor del río Amstel. Aquí podrás encontrar basta cantidad de puestos de comida, restaurantes y tiendas; pero además podrás encontrar el Palacio Real de Ámsterdam construido en el siglo XVII y que por mucho tiempo fue el hogar de la familia real ahora se utiliza para celebrar recepciones oficiales. También podrás admirar la estatua National Memorial, un monumento hecho en honor a los soldados y miembros de la resistencia que murieron en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. También podrás disfrutar de la visita al museo Madame Tussauds, el museo de cera más importante del mundo, contando con la mayor colección de figuras de celebridades, el costo de entrada es de $25, aprovecha para tomarte la foto con las figuras de cera de tus actores y cantantes favoritos.

Casa de Ana Frank, sitio en el que en algún momento vivió y escribió su diario esta pequeña niña judía, que junto a su familia y a otras 4 personas se escondió en el almacén de su padre durante la ocupación nazi en el país, en su triste relato se logra percibir el sentir de tantas familias de judíos que tuvieron que esconderse para no ser exterminados por el régimen de Hitler. El costo de entrada es de $11 adultos y menores de 10 años entrada gratuita.
Museo de Arte Erótico, en este lugar podrás encontrar un poco la relación entre el erotismo y el Barrio Rojo. Podrás disfrutar de 3 pisos repletos de arte erótico, se recomienda no ir con menores de 18 años ya que se cuenta con basta cantidad de pornografía. El precio de entrada es de $6.
Canales de Ámsterdam, sin duda deberás disfrutar de estos canales desde alguna embarcación, la vista y los paisajes que podrás descubrir en el camino son dignos de cuadros y pinturas, por lo que una fotografía no deberá faltarte.
Tiendas de café, en este tipo de cafeterías podrás adquirir marihuana y hachís de manera legal, podrás consumirlo dentro del establecimiento o llevarlo a tu lugar de hospedaje, la venta autorizada por día para una persona es de 5 gramos, cabe destacar que en estos establecimientos está prohibido consumir cigarrillos de tabaco y prácticamente en ninguno de ellos se venden bebidas con alcohol, debido a que las normas de seguridad son bastante estrictas si vas a uno de estos establecimientos deberás contar con una tarjeta de identificación o pasaporte.
