El jueves 19 de noviembre, la Corporación de Desarrollo Económico Hispano (HEDC) celebró su aniversario número 22 en Boulevard Brewery en Kansas City.
Cada año, HEDC reconoce individuos, compañías, y socios por su “espíritu emprendedor que trabajan en la creación de riqueza para ellos mismos , sus familias y sus comunidades .”
Ivonne Gutiérrez , dueña de “Génesis Child Care & Home LLC” recibió el premio de negocio del año y “Parents as Teachers of Olathe” recibió el premio de socio del año.
De acuerdo con un comunicado de prensa , Gutiérrez ha sido la primera persona en iniciar su negocio en 2013 gracias a la asociación de  HEDC y Parents as Teachers of Olathe , que se centra en el desarrollo de los hispanos para operar negocios exitosos en el área de Kansas City.
“Creo que el evento fue un gran éxito,” dijo María Rodríguez, asistente al evento. “Es agradable ver cómo la organización (HEDC) ha crecido desde que empezó. Se puede ver a la gente y otros negocios que están apoyando cada vez más.”

HEDC celebrates 22nd anniversary

On Thursday (Nov. 19) the Hispanic Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) celebrated its 22nd anniversary at Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City.
Each year, HEDC recognizes individuals, companies, and partners for their “entrepreneurial spirit working on building wealth for themselves, their families, and their communities.”
Ivonne Gutierrez, owner “Genesis Child Care & Home LLC” received the Business of the Year award, and “Parents as Teachers of Olathe” as the Partner of the Year award.
According to a press release, Gutierrez has been the first person to start her business in 2013 thanks to the HEDC and Parents as Teachers partnership, which focuses on developing Hispanics to operate successful businesses in the Kansas City area.
“I think the event was very successful,” said Maria Rodriguez, event attendee. “It is nice to see how the organization (HEDC) has grown since it started. You can see people and other businesses are supporting it more.”
