La policía mexicana reportó encontrar 15 cadáveres durante la última semana de septiembre en el río Lerma.
Los cadáveres fueron localizados a lo largo de la frontera de los estados de Jalisco y Michoacán. De acuerdo con las autoridades mexicanas, 12 de los cadáveres fueron encontrados en Jalisco y tres en Michoacán.
Todas las víctimas fueron apuñaladas; se piensa que fueron asesinadas por lo menos hace una semana.
Las autoridades están investigando determinar si las apuñaladas estuvieron relacionadas con cárteles de la droga. Ellos declararon que no hay reportes de secuestros ni personas desaparecidas en conexión con el apuñalamiento.
“Me siento muy frustrada y triste”, dijo un residente de Jalisco, hablando bajo anonimato. “México antes no estaba así -y ahora, a diario, vemos a personas muriendo y siendo asesinadas. Las autoridades no hacen nada -y la mayoría del tiempo tienen tratos con los narcotraficantes. No es justo que vivamos bajo temor, no es justo para las familias ni los niños tener que vivir así. Yo
desafío a las autoridades para que descubran quién hizo esto y nos protejan”.
Mexican police officers find corpses in Lerma River

Mexican police officers reported finding 15 corpses during the last week of September in the Lerma River.
The corpses were located along the border of the states of Jalisco and Michoacan. According to Mexican authorities, 12 of the corpses were found in Jalisco, and three in Michoacan.
All of the victims were stabbed. It’s believed they were murdered at least one week ago.
The authorities are investigating to determine if the stabbings were drug cartel-related. They’ve stated there are no reports of kidnappings or missing persons in connection with the stabbings.
“I feel very frustrated and sad,” a Jalisco resident said, speaking on the condition of anonymity. “Mexico used (to) not be like this – and (now), every day, we see people dying and murdered. The authorities do nothing – and most of the time, they have deals with drug dealers. It is not fair that we live in fear, it is not fair for families and children that we have to live like this. I … (challenge) the authorities to find out who did this and keep us safe.”
