BONNER SPRINGS, Kansas (October 17, 2017)- Join us for Kansas City’s favorite Halloween run! The 5th annual Running Dead 5K will be held on October 28th, 2017. Get ready to race to the finish line and survive the zombie attack. Or join the undead zombie hoard that will chase, or slowly stalk, humans through the Kansas City Renaissance Festival grounds. Humans and zombies will battle it out across our wooded course.
There’s a brand new course for this year’s race! Run or walk through both the Festival grounds and Wyandotte County Park while avoiding zombies on the prowl. For those that are brave of heart, a few different obstacles will be placed throughout the run to increase the difficulty. The obstacles are optional for anyone wanting to keep running and not get caught by the zombies!
Want to look the part? There will be FREE zombie makeup provided by Fantasy Faces KC starting at 8:00 am! Try out your Halloween costume at the Running Dead 5k! Both group and individual costume contests will be held at 10:30am just before the event begins.
Participation in the run is $30 in advance and $40 day-of. All participants receive a free T-shirt, a Finisher Medal, zombie ammo, and a free drink at the Finish Line! The Running Dead 5K is not a timed event. Feel free to run, walk, hobble and groan your way to the finish line as you please. However, the event will end at 2pm. All ages are welcome to join in on the run! Spectators waiting to find out if their friends and family survive are welcome to eat, drink and be merry at Zombie Ground Zero.

La quinta carrera anual Running Dead 5K (la carrera de la muerte) se llevará a cabo el 28 de octubre del 2017. Prepárate para correr hasta la meta y sobrevivir al ataque zombie. O únete a la reserva de zombis muertos vivientes que perseguirán o lentamente acecharán a los humanos alrededor del recinto del Festival del Renacimiento de Kansas City. Los humanos y zombis lucharán a lo largo de nuestro boscoso recorrido.
