We get another chance to vote on November 6th. How do we know what to do and who to vote for? A look at our recent history gives some help on how to figure it out.
The rules on what to do depend on where you live. In Kansas, it is possible to vote right now as you have early voting. You will need a photo ID and you will be asked to say your current address. Find out where on your county’s website:

In Missouri, we don’t have early voting, but we do have absentee voting. If you think that you will be away from home on election day, you can go to your election office and vote. You can find out where to do that here: https://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/govotemissouri/localelectionauthority
You can also wait until election day, but the lines are longer then. Either way, I prefer paper ballots. There have been too many stories of funny things happening with the electronic systems. You fill in the little circles for the candidates you want to win.
Choosing who to vote for is the next step. You can find good information at www.vote411.org. There is information about the candidates and the questions on the ballot. On immigration issues, the two political parties have different ideas. The Democrats have said they are for immigrant rights. However, the Republicans (in charge now) have plans to reduce immigration and to increase deportations. It is up to you to choose the future of our country.
