Four dead, five wounded in KCK bar shooting

Four people were killed and five others were wounded during a bar shooting in Kansas City, Kansas.
The incident occurred early Sunday (Oct. 6) at Tequila KC. Based on witness accounts, two suspects entered the bar and began shooting, authorities believe.
Thomas Tomasic of the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department said the police are still trying to find out the “truthful from the maybe exaggerated a little bit,” as reported by NBC News.
Tomasic also said the four people who died were all Hispanic men, ranging in age from their mid-20s to late 50s, but he did not identify them further.
The five injured people were hospitalized. Two were released by mid-Monday (Oct. 7), and the other three remain in stable condition, the police said.
The police also said there are no reasons to believe the shooting was racially motivated and that it appeared to be an isolated incident, probably related to a disturbance that had occurred earlier in the bar.
“We do not believe it is random, we do believe this was an isolated incident,” Tomasic told NBC News. “We don’t feel that these suspects are going to go out and do this again.”
That Sunday night, more than 80 people gathered at a vigil to mourn and remember the four men who died in the shooting. Candles and pictures of the victims lined the bar’s back gate.
On Monday, police announced one suspect had been arrested. On Wednesday morning, police raided two houses trying to find the other suspect, but they did not have luck. Second suspect remains at large.
