Aunque no se han revelado las especificaciones del 5G, probablemente el 5G operará 40 veces más rápido que el 4G, bajará películas de tercera dimensión en segundos, proveerá mejores gráficas y tendrá mayores capacidades para los teléfonos inteligentes.
Pero la nueva tecnología también tendrá algunos inconvenientes. Uno de ellos es el costo. De acuerdo con CISCO, los planes de datos costarán alrededor de $119. Además, no se ha determinado si los consumidores podrán utilizar sus teléfonos inteligentes actuales o si tendrán que comprar nuevos.

Now, telephone carriers and smartphone companies are preparing for the 5G, a new phone that promises higher operating velocities and better graphics for customers.
CNN has reported that 5G standards will be determined in 2018. The technology is expected to be ready for consumers by 2020 – the same year consumers are expected to know what wireless technologies may use it.
Although the specifications of the 5G haven’t been revealed, it’s likely that the 5G will operate 40 times faster than the 4G, download a 3-D movie in seconds, provide better graphics and have better smartphone capabilities.
But the new technology also will have some drawbacks. One of them is money. According to CISCO, data plans will cost around $119. Moreover, it hasn’t been determined if consumers will be able to use their current smartphones or if they’ll have to buy new ones.
