Las redes sociales inspiran una nueva tendencia para dar en Navidad
Una tendencia de las redes sociales está inspirando a la gente a dar durante esta temporada de Navidad de una manera diferente.
La tendencia invita a la gente a comprar un regalo extra cuando vayan de compras, que lo envuelvan y lo pongan bajo su árbol de Navidad. No tiene que ser grande o caro; puede ser algo que la persona quiera comprar. El día de Navidad (el 25 de diciembre), el único regalo que debe permanecer bajo el árbol debe ser el regalo extra que la persona compró, junto con una tarjeta que dice: “Para Jesús, que vive dentro de ti.”
A partir de este sábado (26 de diciembre), se le invita a los participantes de llevar el regalo en su bolso o en el carro hasta que vean a alguien que cree que va a beneficiarse o necesite el regalo; están invitados después de dar el regalo a esa persona, junto con la tarjeta. Cuando la persona lea la nota, se cree que él o ella van a sentir una alegría así como la persona que lo dio al darse cuenta que Jesús fue quien puso a las dos personas en el camino.
Algunos residentes del área de Kansas City están apoyando esta tendencia.
“Me gusta la idea porque a veces te sientes mal por no dar nada … (a alguien que lo necesite) …. Darles un regalo (y la tarjeta) es una buena opción,” dijo Patricia Morales, residente de Overland Park, Kan.
Todos están invitados a participar y sentir la emoción de dar durante el tiempo de navidad.

Social media trend inspiring different type of Christmas giving

A social media trend is inspiring people to give during this Christmas season in a different way.
The trend encourages people to buy an extra gift when they go shopping, wrap it and put it under their Christmas tree. It doesn’t have to be big or expensive; it can be something the person wants to buy. On Christmas Day (Dec. 25), the only gift that should remain under the tree should be the extra gift the person bought along with a card that reads, “To Jesus, who lives inside of you.”
Starting this Saturday (Dec. 26), participants in the trend are encouraged to carry the gift in their purse or car until they see someone they think will benefit from or needs the present. They’re then encouraged to give the gift to that person, along with the card. When the recipient reads the note, it’s believed he or she will find joy and realize that Jesus put the giver in the recipient’s life.
Some Kansas City area residents are supportive of the trend.
“I like the idea because sometimes you feel bad not to give anything to … (someone in need)…. Giving them a gift (and card) would be a better option,” Overland Park, Kan., resident Patricia Morales said.
Everyone is encouraged to participate and feel the joy of giving during the holidays.
