A public meeting of the Kansas City Brownfields Commission will be held 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025 in the 4th Floor CREO Training Room, City Hall, 414 E. 12th St. Kansas City, MO.  The public is invited to attend in person or virtually by contacting Scott Levin at (816) 513-3012 The Commission will meet to consider an application for an RLF loan from the Kansas City Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) to remediate the Parade Park Homes site located between Truman Road and 18th Street, Woodland Ave. to Brooklyn Ave., Kansas City, MO.  The application is submitted by FC Parade Park LLC.  Project updates will also be provided, and program loans and grant opportunities will be reviewed.

Brownfields are idle or underused properties whose reuse is complicated by real or perceived contamination. The Brownfields Commission is a Mayor-appointed body created by City ordinance to support the cleanup of brownfield properties for redevelopment and reuse. Kansas City, MO, as advised by the Brownfields Commission, uses EPA grants to provide environmental site assessment services.
