El daño ya está hecho.
Todos conocíamos las reglas y eran simples: votar por nuestro candidato favorito y el ganador se convertiría en el Presidente de los Estados Unidos de América. El 8 de noviembre, los estadounidenses determinaron que esa persona sería Donald J. Trump, lo que llevó a muchos estadounidenses a protestar.
“Por ¿qué están protestando estas personas?”, Pregunta usted. Me hago la misma pregunta. Trump se convertirá en presidente el 20 de enero, sin importar si las protestas en todo el país continúan o no.
Entiendo las frustraciones y la decepción de la gente con el resultado. Comparto su misma tristeza. Sin embargo, nada se logrará con disturbios.
Es hora de que todos los que vivimos en Estados Unidos evaluemos lo que queremos de este país y cómo podemos contribuir. El país puede estar dirigido por unos pocos en Washington, D.C .; Pero nosotros, el pueblo, hacemos grande a esta nación.
Sin importar si usted es un republicano o un demócrata, lo invito a trabajar duro, ensenar por el ejemplo y continuar haciendo a esta nación exitosa. Debemos entender que vivimos en una verdadera democracia donde podemos decidir el futuro de nuestro país cada cuatro años eligiendo a nuestro presidente.
Además, en menos de dos años, los votantes estadounidenses tendrán la oportunidad de seleccionar nuevos senadores. Estas elecciones de mitad de período darán a los estadounidenses la oportunidad de expresar sus opiniones determinando quién los representará en Washington. Hasta entonces, el Senado, la Cámara y la Oficina Oval estarán dirigidas por una mayoría republicana, pero los ciudadanos decidirán si esto continua o no.
Así que aliento a cada persona que lee Dos Mundos crear la paz en América. No perdamos nuestra energía. La necesitaremos durante la próxima temporada electoral, cuando tendremos la oportunidad de hacer una diferencia otra vez.

The damage is done.
Everyone was aware of the rules and they were simple: Vote for your favorite candidate and the winner will become the president of the United States of America. On Nov. 8, Americans determined that person would be Donald J. Trump, prompting many Americans to protest.
“So what are people protesting about?” you ask. I ask myself the same question. Trump will become president on Jan. 20, regardless of whether or not the protests taking place all over the nation continue.
I understand people’s frustrations and disappointment with the outcome. I share their same sadness. However, nothing will be accomplished with riots.
It’s time for all of us who live in America to assess what we want from this country and how we can contribute toward that. The country may be led by a few in Washington, D.C.; but we, the people, make this nation great.
Whether you’re a Republican or Democrat, I encourage you to work hard, to lead by example and to continue making this nation great. We must understand that we live in a true democratic nation where we get to decide the future of our country every four years by electing our president.
Additionally, in less than two years, American voters will have the opportunity to select new U.S. senators. This midterm election will give Americans the opportunity to voice their opinions by determining who’ll represent them in Washington. Until then, the Senate, the House and the Oval Office will be run by with a Republican majority, but citizens will then decide whether or not to let this continue.
So I encourage every person who reads Dos Mundos to create peace in America. Let’s not waste our energy. We’ll need it during the next election season, when we’ll have a chance to make a difference again.
