On Friday, March 30 at 3 p.m., the Way of the Cross was held at All Saints Parish located at 811 Vermont Ave. in Kansas City, Kansas. Attendees enjoyed a representation of the Passion and Death of our Lord Jesus Christ. Dos Mundos was present at this event.
Luis Antonio Chaidez performed the role of Jesus Christ. He talked to us about his participation: “I feel very fortunate that I have been chosen to represent Jesus on the Way of the Cross. I felt nervous because I never liked being the center of attention, never. At the end of the day I felt very happy, because there were several people who told me that they even cried when they saw the Viacrucis. That’s what it is about… that they feel a little of what happened that day, and reflect on their life and what we did to Jesus. The preparation was easy, since I gave everything to God. My mom helped me by saying that she was proud of me and praying for me. Also my wife helped to learn the script and several members of the Way of the Cross gave me encouragement, “he concluded.
Leticia Muñoz performed the role of the Virgin Mary and about her participation she commented, “for me to represent the mother of God, Mary, is a big responsibility. Knowing that the looks were in me and everyone knew who Mary was. Every time I read I studied Mary’s eyes in videos and I applied it in my life.”
“It was an honor for me to be able to represent her mother. It was a responsibility and challenge and when I represented her I felt a pain in my chest… I couldn’t breathe, I do not know how she could endure that pain. My life changed.”
Viacrucis viviente en la parroquia de todos los santos
El viernes 30 de Marzo a las 3 de la tarde se llevó a cabo el Viacrucis en la Parroquia de Todos los Santos ubicada en el 811 Vermont Avenue en Kansas City Kansas, los asistentes disfrutaron de una representación de la Pasión y muerte de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Dos Mundos estuvo presente en este evento.
Luis Antonio Chaidez representó el papel de Jesucristo y sobre su participación él comentó: “Me siento muy afortunado de que me hayan escogido para representar a Jesús en el Viacrucis. Me sentía nervioso porque a mi nunca me ha gustado ser el centro de atención, de nada. Al fin del día me sentí muy feliz y contento, porque hubo varias personas que me comentaron que hasta lloraron al ver el Viacrucis, que de eso se trata, de que sientan un poco de lo que pasó ese día, y reflexionen sobre su vida y lo que le hicimos a Jesús. La preparación fue fácil, ya que se lo dejaba todo a Dios. Me ayudó mi mamá diciéndome que estaba orgullosa de mi y rezando por mi. También mi esposa para aprenderme el guión y varios integrantes del Viacrucis dándome ánimos también”, finalizó.
Leticia Muñoz representó el papel de la Virgen María y sobre su participación ella comentó, “Para mí representar a la madre de Dios María es una responsabilidad al saber que las miradas eran para mí y enseguida saber quien era María. Cada que leía estudiaba las miradas de María en videos, lo aplicaba en mi vida”.
Fue un honor una gracia de Dios poder representar a su madre, fue una responsabilidad y desafío y cuando la representaba sentía un dolor en mi pecho , me faltaba el aire, no se cómo ella pudo soportar ese dolor, mi vida cambió.”
