Street Talk- What is your opinion on Donald Trump’s rally in Kansas City?

StreetTalk

“It was wrong, he (Trump) never liked Mexicans and if there were fights was for that reason. The United States is made up of Mexicans and it is not right that someone who wants to be president wants us out of the country.”

Wendy

“It is sad to see that. Many people have no voice in politics and see all the people who are supporting him (Trump) does not seem right.”

Vania Soto
“The reason I went was because I felt I had to represent my family who is immigrant- I went as an example for people to see that it is something to fight for. Being there you could tell everything was very disorganized, I recorded everything that was happening so people who did not want to go or were afraid to go saw what was happening.
I know it was not right that people were on the street as cars passed but the police could have done something different. There were children in the protest who also got pepper spray; it was a chaos.”

Monique Limon

“I initially went with the intention of protesting but when I got there was so much tension in the air that I decided to observe. While I waited in line I was called a wet back, a loser… there was a lot of negativity from both sides and a lot of hate.
Inside the building the hate was so thick I could hardly stand it. I can honestly say I shed tears because l could hardly believe what was going on all around me and even took a moment to pray that nothing bad would happen.”
