From now on, the giraffes, which were not at great risk of extinction, appear in the list of “vulnerable” animals. This is the first level that indicates a species in danger of extinction.
Among nine species distributed in 21 countries: three are well, one is stable, but the other five have suffered a significant decline, according to the report published in Mexico in the framework of the UN Conference on Biodiversity held in Cancun.

The animals that are on this list, include the following: Giraffes, cheetahs, the African gray parrot, the vaquita, and bees. According to experts, those species are practically essential for the reproduction of life in many ecosystems, thanks to its role in the pollination of plants.

La población mundial de jirafas, que ha caído en un 40% en los últimos treinta años, ha sido catalogada como especie “vulnerable” y en peligro de extinción, alertó el jueves la Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza (UICN).
El número de jirafas, el animal terrestre más alto del planeta, cayó bajo los 100.000 ejemplares en 2015, debido principalmente a las amenazas que pesan sobre su hábitat y a la caza furtiva, señaló esta organización de referencia que sigue de cerca el estado de las especies animales y vegetales del mundo.
A partir de ahora las jirafas, que no estaban bajo gran riesgo de extinción, figuran en la lista de animales “vulnerables”, primer nivel que los señala en peligro de extinción.
Entre nueve especies repartidas en 21 países, tres están bien, una está estable, pero las otras cinco han sufrido un importante declive, según este informe publicado en México en el marco de la Conferencia de la ONU sobre biodiversidad reunido en Cancún.

La expansión de algunas poblaciones hacia territorios antes sólo poblados por animales sin habla, la explotación de recursos naturales en detrimento de las faunas autóctonas o los efectos del cambio climático acelerado y agravado por el hombre son algunas de las causas que provocan, a mayor o menor velocidad, la desaparición de más de una especie.
Estos son los animals que se encuentran en esta lista : Las Jirafas , Las Chitas, El Loro gris africano, La vaquita marina y por último las abejas son una especie prácticamente imprescindible, según los expertos, para la reproducción de la vida en muchos ecosistemas, gracias a su papel en la polinización de las plantas.
