El partido republicano se volvió loco y sus miembros están desesperados.
Esto fue claro como el agua luego del Super Tuesday (Marzo 1). Aunque fue obvio que Donald J. Trump fue el gran ganador de la noche, lo que no fue tan claro para muchos es quién fue el gran perdedor. Muchos sienten que el gran perdedor fue Marcos Rubio. Pero para mí, el gran perdedor de la noche fue el Partido Republicano.
El Partido Republicano se despertó el miércoles (Marzo 2) roto en pedazos. El ex gobernador de Minnesota, Tim Pawlenty lo confirmó al decir, “El Partido esta fracturado.”
“Si el Partido Republicano fuera un avión y uno mirara hacia afuera por la ventana veríamos pedazos del avión despegándose,” comentó Pawlenty. “Y nos preguntaríamos cuándo se despegará el motor o un ala.”
El ex candidato presidencial, Lindsey Graham dijo, “nuestro partido está por nominar a un loco,” refiriéndose a Trump.
“Vamos a perder una elección en contra al político más corrupto de Estados Unidos” refiriéndose a la candidata demócrata Hillary Clinton.
Los líderes y estrategas del partido quisieran desprenderse de la figura de Trump. Existen fuertes rumores que el partido está considerando acciones extremas. Una de las acciones más extremas siendo consideradas es la de no tener una convención nacional y apoyar a un tercer candidato como independiente.

Super Tuesday: Republicans steal the show

The Republican Party has gone crazy and its members are desperate.
That was clear after the Super Tuesday (March 1) presidential primaries. Although Donald J. Trump was obviously the party’s big Super Tuesday winner, given that he took seven states, it wasn’t as clear to many observers of American politics who the biggest loser was. Many felt that Marco Rubio took the title. But to me, the biggest loser was the Republican Party as a whole.
The Republican Party woke up on Wednesday (March 2) broken into pieces. Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty confirmed that when he said, “The party is fractured.”
“If the Republican Party were an airplane and … (you were) looking out the window, you’d see some pieces of the surface flying off,” Pawlenty commented. “And you’d be wondering whether the engine or a wing … (was) next.”
Republican and former presidential candidate Lindsey Graham agreed, saying, “our party is about to nominate a crazy,” referring to Trump.
“We will lose against the most corrupt politician in the United States,” Graham said, meaning Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.
The party’s leaders and strategists would like to distance themselves from Trump. There are even strong rumors of some extreme moves being considered. One of the most radical moves under consideration is to not have the Republican National Convention this summer and have a third candidate run as an independent.
You read that correctly: The Republican Party is considering running against its own candidate if Trump wins the nomination. Yes, the Republicans are desperate and will do whatever it takes to try to salvage their group, even have someone run against their own nominee.
This is a historic moment for the Republican Party, we are observing its insanity and might even be observing its extinction.
