La actriz Mexicana Kate del Castillo le teme a su gobierno, pero a ninguno de los capos más famosos de México.
Del Castillo ha sido enlazada con el capo Joaquín Guzmán Loera, alias “El Chapo.” En octubre del 2015, ella se reunió con “El Chapo” para hablar sobre una película de su vida. La entrevista ayudó a las autoridades mexicanas a encontrar y detener a “El Chapo” quien se había escapado de una prisión mexicana varios meses atrás. Desde entonces, las autoridades mexicanas la han estado vigilando.
“No le temo al cartel”, dijo del Castillo durante una entrevista reciente con la periodista mexicana Carmen Aristegui en CNN Español. “Ese no es mi temor. No le tengo miedo al señor Guzmán ni a su gente. Por alguna razón, no le temo a eso. Le temo al gobierno mexicano”.
Durante la entrevista, del Castillo también acusó al gobierno mexicano de manipular los mensajes de texto que ella intercambió con “El Chapo”.
El gobierno mexicano está investigando a del Castillo por presuntamente recibir dinero ilegal de parte de Guzmán Loera. Sin embargo, ella ha negado las acusaciones.
Además, durante la entrevista de 2 partes, del Castillo declaró que el actor Sean Penn, quien publicó una entrevista con “El Chapo” en la revista Rolling Stone, incluyó en la historia información que no era verdadera.
Últimamente, del Castillo ha estado en Estados Unidos, compartiendo su historia con los medios de comunicación americanos. Ella no ha regresado a México por temor a ser arrestada.
Durante una entrevista reciente con ABC News, del Castillo envió un mensaje a su familia sobre lo que tomó lugar en los últimos meses.
“Lamento mucho haber provocado que mi familia haya pasado por esto porque ese no era el punto” dijo ella. “Hay… tanta gente inocente que está muriendo -y solamente pensar… que por estar yo allí conduje a algo como eso…eso es algo con lo que voy a tener que vivir”.

Mexican actress fears the Mexican government, but not “El Chapo”

Mexican-born actress Kate del Castillo fears her government, but not one of Mexico’s most notorious drug lords.
Del Castillo has been linked to drug lord Joaquin Guzman Loera, a.k.a. “El Chapo.” In October 2015, she met with “El Chapo” to discuss a movie about his life. The interview helped Mexican authorities find and apprehend “El Chapo,” who had escaped from a Mexican prison several months before. Since then, Mexican authorities have kept an eye on her.
“I’m not afraid of the cartel,” del Castillo said during a recent interview with Mexican journalist Carmen Aristegui on CNN Espanol (Español in Spanish). That’s not my fear. I’m not afraid of Mr. Guzman or his people. For some reason, I’m not afraid of (all) that. I’m afraid of the Mexican government.”
During the interview, del Castillo also accused the Mexican government of manipulating the text messages she had exchanged with “El Chapo.”
The Mexican government is investigating del Castillo for allegedly receiving illegal money from Guzman Loera. However, she has denied the accusations.
In addition, during the two-part interview, del Castillo stated that actor Sean Penn, who published an interview with “El Chapo” in Rolling Stone magazine, included information in his story that wasn’t true.
Lately, del Castillo has been in the United States, sharing her story with the American news media. She hasn’t returned to Mexico for fear she’ll be arrested.
During a recent interview with ABC News, del Castillo sent a message to her family about what had taken place over the past several months.
“I am so so sorry that I put my entire family through it because that was not the point,” she said. “There … (are) so many innocent people that (are) dying – and just to think, … me being there led to something like that. That’s something I’m going to have to live with.”
