Italia sigue sintiendo los efectos del terremoto de 6.2° que recientemente afectó el país europeo.
El terremoto dejó cientos de italianos heridos. Además, el número de muertos sigue aumentando. Hasta el momento de prensa, eran de alrededor de 300.
Las cuadrillas de emergencia siguen trabajando para remover los escombros. De acuerdo con CNN, alrededor de 6,600 voluntarios trabajan para remover los escombros, sin embargo, la esperanza de encontrar sobrevivientes continúa disminuyendo.
El personal de protección civil italiana en ese país está trabajando para arreglar los puentes y carreteras para permitir que la gente pueda viajar.
Además hay más de 2,500 damnificados en campos. Muchas de las víctimas han perdido sus casas y familias.
Los temblores secundarios siguen afectando el área. De acuerdo con el periódico El País, han tenido más de 60 temblores secundarios.
El 27 de agosto, Italia tuvo un funeral en Ascoli Piceno para honrar a las víctimas del terremoto. Entre los que asistieron estuvieron el presidente italiano Sergio Mattarella, el primer ministro italiano Matteo Renzi, y cientos de italianos.

Italy experiencing chaos, sadness after earthquake

Italy continues to feel the effects of the 6.2 earthquake that recently struck the European nation.
The earthquake has left hundreds of Italians injured. In addition, the death toll keeps increasing. At press time, it was around 300.
Emergency crews are still working on removing rubble. According to CNN, there are around 6,600 volunteers working to removing the rubble; however, the hope of finding survivors continues to decrease.
Italian civil protection personnel in Italy are working toward fixing bridges and roads to allow people to travel.
There are more than 2,500 displaced people in camps. Many of the victims have lost their homes and families.
Aftershocks keep striking the area. According to the newspaper El Pais, there have been more than 60 aftershocks.
On Aug. 27, Italy held a funeral in Ascoli Piceno to honor the earthquake victims. Those who attended included Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and hundreds of Italians.
