KANSAS CITY, Missouri – El viernes 20 de enero, la preparatoria Frontier STEM organizó su tercera feria de carreras anual para los estudiantes actuales. Participaron 25 empleadores del área de Kansas City, entre ellos Country Club Bank, BNIM Architects, SnapIT Solutions, Society of Women Engineers, U.S. Army, Depto, de Policía de Kansas City, E&K, Michelle Carrasco Hairstylist, Darryl Woods Artist, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Promise Hospital, RCS Millwork, Wagstaff & Cartmell, 2mas2kc, Univisión, Integrated Financial Solutions of Kansas City, Utility One Source, Holiday Inn Express, Hammersmith Manufacturing, Kansas City Zoo, K-State, Metropolitan Community College, GEODIS, y International Union of Painters & Allied Trades . Aproximadamente 400 estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de platicar con representantes locales de organizaciones académicas, comerciales y comunitarias y empezar a planear sus futuros.
Fundadas en el 2005, las escuelas Frontier son preparatoria gratis de las escuelas chárter públicas patrocinadas por la Universidad de Missouri -Kansas City (UMKC). La misión de las escuelas Frontier es preparar a los estudiantes para un aprendizaje superior en una atmósfera segura, atenta y cooperativa mediante un programa de calidad educativo centrado en el alumno con un fuerte énfasis en ciencias, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas (STEM).

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – On Friday, January 20th, Frontier STEM High School hosted their 3rd annual career fair for current students. 25 employers from the Kansas City area participated, including Country Club Bank, BNIM Architects, SnapIT Solutions, Society of Women Engineers, U.S. Army, Kansas City Police Department, E&K, Michelle Carrasco Hairstylist, Darryl Woods Artist, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Promise Hospital, RCS Millwork, Wagstaff & Cartmell, 2mas2kc, Univision, Integrated Financial Solutions of Kansas City, Utility One Source, Holiday Inn Express, Hammersmith Manufacturing, Kansas City Zoo, K-State, Metropolitan Community College, GEODIS, and the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades . Approximately 400 students had the chance to talk and visit with local representatives of academic, business and community organizations and to start planning for their futures.
Founded in 2005, Frontier Schools is a tuition-free, college preparatory Public Charter School sponsored by the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC). The mission at Frontier Schools is to prepare students for higher learning in a safe, caring, and collaborative atmosphere through a quality learner-centered educational program with a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
