The Church of Our Lady of Unity, celebrated the novena of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Starting the celebration the 3rd of December until the 11th and 12th, the mañanitas (happy birthday in Spanish) were celebrated in two special mass on December 12th at 6:00 a.m. and 6 p.m.
During the novenas the parishioners formed a choir and dance groups of both matachines and seniors.
The worshipers united for the 12th at the mass to our Lady of Guadalupe with a special request that was made for all the young “Dreamers”. So that the virgin protects and allows them to stay in this country.
This celebration is held every year and is always in works to improve.
Father Fr. Kent O’Connor, Father Oscar Garavito, Mrs. Virginia Oropeza, Verónica Palomares, María Elena Castellanos and many more people work really hard for this celebration.
Celebración de la novena de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe
La Iglesia de nuestra Señora de la Unidad, celebró la novena de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Comenzando la celebración de el día 3 hasta el 11 y el 12 de diciembre, se celebraron las mañanitas en una misa especial el día 12 de diciembre a las a las 6 am. y a las 6 pm.
Durante las novenas los feligreses formaron un coro y grupos de baile de los matachines también y el de los viejitos.
Las parroquias se unieron para el día 12 en la Misa a nuestra Señora de Guadalupe se hiciera una petición especial para todos lo jóvenes “Dreamers”. Para que la Virgen los proteja y les conceda quedarse en este país.
Esta celebración se hace cada año y siempre se prepara para mejorar la fiesta
