Bienvenidos turistas, en esta edición nos toca hablar de la cada vez más mencionada ciudad de Tulum, la cual es perteneciente al estado mexicano de Quintana Roo y se encuentra 80 millas al sur de Cancún. El nombre de Tulum proviene de la antigua ciudad maya de mismo nombre y que en maya significa “Muralla”.
La ciudad de Tulum es una de las ciudades con mayor crecimiento de población en el país, esto se debe a su gran oferta de empleo y desarrollo económico propiciado por el turismo en la región. ¿Pero por qué hay tanto turismo en Tulum? En relación con esto, Tulum ofrece una gran variedad de actividades por realizar, y hacer de esas ansiadas vacaciones algo simplemente inolvidable. A continuación te menciono algunas de ellas:
Visita la zona arqueológica de Tulum, es el sitio más emblemático de la costa de Quintana Roo, esto debido a su privilegiada ubicación y a la excelente conservación de sus edificios y estructuras. El costo de entrada ronda los $6 y el estacionamiento de $3, ten en cuenta que la distancia entre estructuras puede ser entre 1 y 1.5 millas, por lo que se recomienda la renta de una bicicleta la cual tiene un costo aproximado a los $3 sin límite de tiempo para usarla. Si nunca has practicado buceo o esnórquel puedes contratar guías cualificados por al rededor de $40 por hora.
Visita las playas de la región, las cuales son consideradas por algunos, las más hermosas de todo el país y unas de las más hermosas de todo el mundo. Con sus aguas que varían en distintas tonalidades azules y verdes, que contrastan con su blanca arena, y con la diversidad de especies marinas que se encuentran en las cercanías del arrecife de coral más grande del continente y el segundo más grande del mundo. Si el hotel donde te hospedas no cuenta con servicio de comida incluido no te preocupes, encontrarás infinidad de restaurantes económicos y con los tradicionales sabores de la región maya.
Si no te quieres preocupar por planear los recorridos por tu cuenta, desde la llegada al aeropuerto encontrarás una gran cantidad de agencias que te ayuden a encontrar los paquetes de atracciones que más se adapten a tu presupuesto y tus gustos. La moneda principal es el peso mexicano, pero los precios de la mayoría de atracciones está en base al dolar, así que no te preocupes por cambiar efectivo.
