The recipients of the 2019 Nuestra Latina Awards have been announced.
Every year, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City honors Latinas who have made amazing contributions in their respective categories, and have greatly impacted the Hispanic community and Kansas City overall.
The recipients of this year’s awards are as follows: Dos Mundos co-founder Clara Reyes, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award; Angela Cervantez, receiving the Arts/Literature Award; Guadalupe Dean, receiving the Philanthropy Award; Adriana Pecina, receiving the Health & Wellness Award; Angie Rodriguez-Gunion, receiving the Business/Entrepreneurship Award; Janice Martinez-Miranda, receiving the Military/Law Enforcement Award; and Diana Sofia Acevedo, receiving STEM/Education Award.
The awardees will be celebrated in a ceremony, presented by Bank of America, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 29 at the BEST building at the KU Edwards Campus in Overland Park, Kansas. Tickets are on sale at https://tinyurl.com/nuestralatina-tickets.
Cámara de Comercio Hispana anuncia a ganadoras del Premio Nuestra Latina 2019
Las ganadoras de los Premios Nuestra Latina 2019 han sido anunciados.
Cada año, la Cámara de Comercio Hispana del Gran Kansas City rinde homenaje a las latinas que han hecho contribuciones increíbles en sus respectivas categorías y han impactado en gran medida a la comunidad hispana y a Kansas City en general.
Las ganadoras de los premios de este año son: la cofundadora de Dos Mundos, Clara Reyes, que recibirá el premio a la Trayectoria; Ángela Cervantez, recibiendo el Premio de Arte/Literatura; Guadalupe Dean, recibiendo el Premio de Filantropía; Adriana Pecina, recibiendo el Premio de Salud y Bienestar; Angie Rodriguez-Gunion, recibiendo el Premio de Negocios/Emprendimiento; Janice Martinez-Miranda, recibiendo el Premio Militar/Aplicación de la Ley; y Diana Sofía Acevedo, recibiendo el Premio STEM/Educación.
