The Wyandotte Angels are collecting warm items to donate to those who need them during the upcoming winter.
A group with 3,200 members, including people from outside Wyandotte County, Kansas, and even outside the state, the Wyandotte Angels were created by longtime Kansas City, Kansas, resident Martin Cervantes and his wife Jalynda. The Wyandotte Angels work to build “a community of kindness,” as the non-profit organization states on its Facebook page.
As the group’s Facebook page also states, it focuses on sharing its kindness in Wyandotte County by distributing food, clothes and hygiene products to those experiencing food, clothing and hygiene insecurity. The group doesn’t accept cash exchanges, and to keep things transparent, it posts a Facebook message every time a delivery is done.
For their wintertime warmth campaign, known as “Keep Wyandotte Warm,” the Wyandotte Angels are gathering new blankets, hats, gloves, scarves and socks until November. The date and location of this year’s event to distribute donations will be announced soon.
Previous “Keep Wyandotte Warm” campaigns have resulted in the collection of 5,000 total items. There were 2,000 collected in 2020 and 3,000 in 2021.

Los Wyandotte Angels están recolectando artículos invernales para donarlos a quienes los necesiten durante el próximo invierno.

Para su campaña de invierno, conocida como “Keep Wyandotte Warm”, Wyandotte Angels están recolectando mantas, gorros, guantes, bufandas y calcetines nuevos hasta noviembre. La fecha y el lugar del evento de este año para distribuir las donaciones se anunciarán pronto.
Las campañas anteriores de “Keep Wyandotte Warm” han dado como resultado la recolección de 5,000 artículos en total. Se recogieron 2,000 en 2020 y 3,000 en 2021.
