Park University to Host International Festival on Nov. 17

Parkville, Mo.—Oct. 25, 2017 — In celebration of Park University’s Year of Diversity and International Education Week, Park’s Office of International Students is hosting “The World Underground: An International Festival” on Friday, Nov. 17. The event, which will held from 5:30 to 8 p.m., will be held in the University’s underground Academic Plaza within the Parkville Commercial Underground on the Parkville Campus. Admission to the festival is free and open to the public. A buffet dinner will be served for a separate fee.

The International Festival will include information booths, performances, cultural activities and fashion shows from countries around the globe, all featuring Park students representing their native country and sharing the unique and diverse characteristics of their homeland. Countries scheduled to be represented include Brazil, France, Guatemala, Ireland, Japan, Micronesia, Nigeria, Russia and South Africa. In all, the University boasts more than 260 students from 58 countries around the globe.
In addition to the festival, an international buffet will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. featuring food from 12 countries. The price for the buffet is $7 per person.

El 17 de noviembre, Park University organizara el Festival Internacional

Parkville, Mo.-Oct. 25, 2017 – Celebrando el Año de la Diversidad y la Semana de la Educación Internacional de Park University, la Oficina de Estudiantes Internacionales realizará “The World Underground: An International Festival” el viernes, 17 de noviembre. El evento, que comenzará a partir de las 5:30 hasta las 8 pm, se llevará a cabo en la Academic Plaza dentro del Parkville Commercial Underground en el campus de Parkville. La entrada al festival es gratuita y abierta al público. Se servirá una cena buffet con una tarifa por separado.

El Festival Internacional incluirá stands informativos, espectáculos, actividades culturales y desfiles de moda de países de todo el mundo, todos son representados por estudiantes de Park, quienes compartirán características únicas y diversas de su tierra natal. Dentro de los países que están representados se encuentran Brasil, Francia, Guatemala, Irlanda, Japón, Micronesia, Nigeria, Rusia y Sudáfrica. En total, la universidad cuenta con más de 260 estudiantes de 58 países de todo el mundo. Además del festival, se servirá un buffet internacional de 5:30 a 7:30 p.m. con comida de 12 países. El precio del buffet es de $7 por persona.
