President Trump reportedly called Haiti and African countries “s—hole countries” during a Jan. 11 closed-door bipartisan meeting at the White House. Furthermore, he said he wished the United States would admit Norwegians instead.
The president’s message was: If you’re white, you’re O.K. But if you’re black or brown, you’re not welcome.
Based on these comments and past actions, it is very clear that our President is a racist and it’s time to say, “Enough, Mr. President.”
Hearing such words coming from the president is infuriating. Specifically, it’s infuriating because his words show how little respect the president has for the people who’ve been coming to this country for centuries.
Haitians and Africans have settled in the United States and built this country into the great nation it is today, just as immigrants from all over the world have done.
Does Donald Trump understand he’s no longer a reality TV star? Apparently not.
Mr. President, your words and actions have consequences. Everything you say is broadcast or published throughout the world.
Americans are expecting a public apology. Most likely, that won’t happen. However, should Trump decide to apologize, he should make two apologies. First, President Trump owes a public apology to the African nations and Haiti. Second, he owes a public apology to the people of the United States.
On another note, where are Republican lawmakers when Americans need them? The Republican Party put Trump in power. It should be the Republican Party that stops him.
This country needs all lawmakers to speak up. When the president makes derogatory comments toward a country, it’s your duty to say, “Enough, Mr. President.”

Suficiente, señor Presidente
Según los informes, el Presidente Trump se refirió a Haití y a los países africanos de “países de Mie***” durante una reunión bipartidista a puertas cerradas el 11 de enero en la Casa Blanca. Además, dijo que deseaba que los Estados Unidos admitieran a los noruegos en lugar de a los haitianos.
El mensaje del Presidente fue: si eres blanco, entras. Pero si eres negro o marrón, no eres bienvenido.
En base en estos comentarios y acciones pasadas, es muy claro que nuestro Presidente es racista y es hora de decir: “Suficiente, señor Presidente”.
Escuchar que estas palabras salen de la boca de nuestro Presidente es desesperante. Especialmente, es desesperante porque sus palabras muestran cuán poco respeto tiene el Presidente por las personas que vienen a este país desde hace siglos.
Haitianos y africanos se han establecido en los Estados Unidos y han construido este país en la gran nación que es hoy en día, tal como lo han hecho los inmigrantes de todo el mundo.
Donald Trump ¿Usted entiende que ya no es una estrella de televisión? Aparentemente no.
Sr. Presidente, sus palabras y acciones tienen consecuencias. Todo lo que dice o hace es transmitido y publicado en todo el mundo.
Los estadounidenses esperan una disculpa pública. Lo más probable es que eso no suceda. Sin embargo, si Trump decide disculparse, debe hacer dos disculpas. En primer lugar, el Presidente Trump debe una disculpa pública a las naciones africanas y a Haití. En segundo lugar, debe una disculpa pública al pueblo de los Estados Unidos.
En otra nota, ¿dónde están los legisladores republicanos cuando los estadounidenses los necesitan? El Partido Republicano puso a Trump en el poder. Debería ser el Partido Republicano lo que lo detenga.
Este país necesita que todos los legisladores hablen. Cuando el Presidente hace comentarios despectivos hacia un país, es su deber decir: «Suficiente, señor Presidente».
