Fireworks displays scheduled around the KC metro area

Fireworks are a must in the celebration of Independence Day. This year, throughout the Kansas City metro area, there are plenty of fireworks displays for you to go with your family and friends.

To officially kick off celebrations for this Fourth of July, below is a complete list of fireworks displays:

Wednesday, July 3, 2019

*Annual July 3 Fireworks Celebration (Kearney, MO) – Kearney Amphitheater, concert and kids activities start at 7:30pm; fireworks at 9:30pm

*Independence Day Fireworks Display, City of Westwood – Fireworks begin at dusk at St. Agnes Athletic Field, 5130 Mission Rd, Roeland Park, KS 66205

*Independence Day Celebration, City of Independence – entertainment begins at 7pm, fireworks at 9:30pm; at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Pageant Grounds & Mormon Visitor Center, 937 W. Walnut, Independence, MO

*Liberty4thFest, Liberty, MO – Fountain Bluff Sports Complex, the fun begins at 6pm with food trucks  & tons of family-fun activities; fireworks begin at 10pm

*KC Royals Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular (post game) at the K

*Kansas City T-bones Post-Game Fireworks at CommunityAmerica Ballpark

Thursday, July 4, 2019 On the Missouri side

*4th of July Celebration in Weston, MO – July 4 at Historic Main Street District, Weston, MO. It’s a day filled with fun, including a parade, games, kids activities, and fireworks at 9:45pm.

*Gladstone Fireworks – 7-10 pm at Oak Grove Park, 7656 N Troost Ave, Gladstone, MO

*KC Riverfest – Berkley Riverfront Park, KCMO – festival food, live music, and fireworks! 4-10pm, $5/person

*Parkville (MO) July 4th Celebration – full day of fun includes a day of activities and carnival, and a fireworks finale at 9:45pm

*Platte City Fireworks – patriotic music with fireworks beginning around 9:45pm – Platte Ridge Park,  17130 371 Hwy, Platte City, MO 64079

*Smithville  Lake Annual Fireworks Display – 7-10pm at  Smithville Lake

*Worlds of Fun Fourth of July Celebration – It’s a full day of 4th of July activities at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun, complete with fireworks at the end of the day. Current and past military members (with a valid ID) get free admission (with complimentary admission) on July 4, 2019.

Thursday, July 4, 2019 On the Kansas side

*Gardner KS Fireworks – Live entertainment, fun kids activities and food vendors starts at 3:30pm, fireworks at 10pm at Celebration Park,  32501 W. 159th St., Gardner, KS 66030

*Fireworks and Salute to the Union – Fort Leavenworth, KS – Entertainment begins at 5pm, a Salute to the Union ceremony at 8:30pm; fireworks at 9:30pm; Merritt Lake – Grant Ave. Fort Leavenworth, KS

*Fourth of July Celebration – Leawood City Park – activities begin at 6pm; music begins at 7:30pm; fireworks at 9:45pm, admission is free, an all-access ride/activity wristband is $5

*Overland Park Star Spangled Spectacular, Corporate Woods, Overland Park, KS – gates open at 5pm and includes live music; fireworks begin at 9:45pm

*Stilwell KS Parade &  Fireworks – parade and fireworks 7:30 to 9:30; KCPL  Service Center located at 19950 Newton Street (69 Highway and 199th Street) in Stilwell, Kansas 66085
