KC Royals and Just Serve organizations recognized Westside CAN Center as the 2025 Just Serve Outstanding Organizations Service Award at the KC Royals (2) – Astros (0) game on April 25 as part of April Volunteer Month. Before the game, volunteers from Just Serve organization putting together hygiene supplies sets.
“This award recognizes the outstanding work that Westside CAN Center does impacting so many families by engaging so many amazing volunteers throughout the years,” said Corrie Clasen, director of Just Serve, Kansas City Area.
“At Westside CAN Center we are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate with amazing volunteers that year after year help us to implement programs and projects which impact so many families in KC Metro area and the Westside… the Bestside!” said Jorge Coromac director of Westside CAN Center.
“As volunteers we appreciate how the Westside CAN organize meaningful opportunities for volunteers and be able to contribute with hands on projects that impact children, youth, seniors and families around the metro area, like planting seeds for the family garden club that soon will be planted in so many homes,” said Loraine McCall, volunteer that engages with the Westside CAN through the Just Serve program.
Westside CAN Center engage with local and City wide volunteer group to implements the programs and projects all year round.
“Either for the Back to School Pep Rally, or the Pet vaccination clinic, or the Christmas Celebration or the community policing program or the beekeepers program, etc., it is amazing to have the opportunity to work with so many volunteer’s and to be able to deliver so many programs and project for the good of the families and neighbors,” said Coromac.

Las organizaciones KC Royals y Just Serve reconocieron al Westside CAN Center como el Premio al Servicio de Organizaciones Sobresalientes Just Serve 2025 en el juego de los KC Royals (2) con los Astros (0) el 25 de abril como parte del mes de voluntariado en abril. Antes del juego, los voluntarios de la organización Just Serve prepararon juegos de artículos de higiene.

Westside CAN Center se involucra con grupos de voluntarios locales y de toda la ciudad para implementar los programas y proyectos durante todo el año.
“Ya sea para el Rally de Regreso a la Escuela, o la clínica de vacunación de mascotas, o la Celebración de Navidad o el programa de vigilancia comunitaria o el programa de apicultores, etc., es increíble tener la oportunidad de trabajar con tantos voluntarios y poder implementar los programas y proyectos para el bien de las familias y vecinos”, dijo Coromac.
