El 21 de marzo del 2017, Johnson County Latina Leadership Network presentó un foro sobre “Miedo y Ansiedad a la Deportación” para los residentes del condado de Johnson. La presentadora fue Cielo Fernández, M.S., Chief Program Officer de El Centro sobre los esfuerzos y educación para ayudar a los inmigrantes de “saber sus derechos” y la importancia de planificación en caso de deportación de un familiar. También presentó la terapista, Ana Ávila, Directora y Dueña de La Esperanza (The Hope, Inc. Services) habló sobre cómo controlar el estrés y los servicios que ofrece su organización. Fear and Anxiety of Deportation
On March 21, 2017
the Johnson County Latina Leadership Network hosted “Fear and Anxiety of Deportation” forum for Johnson County residents.
Presenting were Cielo Fernandez, M.S., Chief Program Officer at El Centro on the outreach and education efforts to help immigrants “know their rights” and the importance of developing plans in case of the deportation of a family member.
Also Therapist, Ana Avila, Director and Owner of La Esperanza/ The Hope, Inc. Services talked about how to control stress and the services offered by her organization. The event took place at the Johnson County Library Oak Park Branch at 9500 Bluejacket St., Overland Park, Kansas. Their next event will is on April 1, 2017.
