Day of the Dead celebrated in Central Avenue parade

The Central Avenue Betterment Association hosted a Day of the Dead Celebration on Nov. 2. Held on Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, the celebration included a parade. Prior to that, the event attracted a good number of people to enjoy of other entertainment such as a calavera face painting and offering showdown, a walking catrinas show, food and art vendors and live music in five stages.
The Day of the Dead holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to ask for the wellbeing of and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.


 

Día de Muertos celebrado en el desfile de la Central Avenue

La Asociación de Mejoramiento de la Central Avenue organizó una celebración del Día de los Muertos el 2 de noviembre.
Celebrada en Central Avenue en Kansas City, Kansas, la celebración incluyó un desfile. Antes de eso, el evento atrajo a un buen número de personas para disfrutar de otros entretenimientos, como pintar caras y ofrendas, un espectáculo de catrinas a pie, vendedores de comida y arte y música en vivo en cinco etapas. La festividad del Día de los Muertos se enfoca en reuniones para pedir el bienestar y recordar a los amigos y familiares que han muerto, y ayudar a apoyar su viaje espiritual.
