The Kansas City Juggling Club will soon host its annual juggling festival.
This year’s festival will be hosted Oct. 6-8 mainly at the Joe E. Amayo Community Center in the Argentine neighborhood in Kansas City, Kansas. The last day will be staged at Wyandotte County Park, thanks to a partnership with Wyandotte County Parks and Recreation.
Another new aspect of the festival is a juggling games showcase on Oct. 7. The region’s best jugglers will compete in various games.
Peter Le-Santellan, club media manager, encourages everyone to attend the free event, whether they know how to juggle or not.
“We’re always willing to teach anyone who wants to learn,” Le-Santellan said. “Come have fun and learn a new skill.”
Launched almost 20 years ago, the Kansas City Juggling Club has thrived, even through a pandemic that put a pause on the club’s weekly meetings. But juggling has existed in the Kansas City area before the club was created, as Jacob Huffman, the club’s secretary, said.
“There’s been community of people juggling in Kansas City for a really long time – at least as far back as the ’70s,” Huffman recounted. “This current iteration of our juggling club was started about 2006 by a couple of people that had moved to the area and were looking for a community of people to get together and juggle with and weren’t finding that readily, and they started a club that got together once a week to juggle.”
Soon after the club’s creation, an annual festival started, aimed at expanding the club’s outreach and providing Kansas City area jugglers opportunities to meet jugglers from other cities and states.
This year’s festival will run 5-9 p.m. Oct. 6 and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Argentine Community Center, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 8 at Wyandotte County Park. Although admission is free, donations are encouraged.

Club de malabarismo organizará festival anual
El Club de Malabarismo de Kansas City pronto tendrá su festival anual de malabarismo.
El festival de este año se llevará a cabo del 6 al 8 de octubre principalmente en el Centro Comunitario Joe E. Amayo en el barrio argentino de Kansas City, Kansas. El último día se llevará a cabo en el Parque del Condado de Wyandotte, gracias a una asociación con Parques y Recreación del Condado de Wyandotte.
Otro aspecto nuevo del festival es una exhibición de juegos de malabarismo el 7 de octubre. Los mejores malabaristas de la región competirán en varios juegos.
Peter Le-Santellan, director de medios del club, anima a todos a asistir al evento gratuito, sepan o no hacer malabarismos.
“Siempre estamos dispuestos a enseñar a cualquiera que quiera aprender”, dijo. “Ven a divertirte y aprender una nueva habilidad”.

El festival de este año se llevará a cabo de 5 a 9 p.m. el 6 de octubre y de 9 a.m. a 9 p.m. el 7 de octubre en el Centro Comunitario Argentino y de 9 a.m. a 3 p.m. el 8 de octubre en el parque del condado de Wyandotte. Aunque la entrada es gratuita, se recomiendan dar una donaciones.
